At Dakota Harvest of Hope, we believe no farmer has to struggle alone. Farming is a crucial job for our economy locally and nationally. Farming is a job that takes devotion, precision, and time, but being a farmer comes with difficult challenges as well. Many farmers may feel isolation, stress, financial pressures, and experiences that could leave a long term impact on a farmer’s mental and emotional health, including PTSD. Strong, patriotic farmers tend to bottle their emotions in, leading to these struggles going unspoken.

Our mission at Dakota Harvest of Hope is for these struggles not to go unspoken and bring our Dakota farmers together to support one another by creating a community of farmers that can talk, connect, and share experiences. Ultimately, creating trust and brotherhood between farmers enrooted by similar struggles. We plan to bring farmers together whether it is through small gatherings or just knowing someone else who understands. Those connections can make a real difference.

As we head into our early stages as a non-profit we here at Dakota Harvest of Hope plan to focus on making our mission become a reality. As we say rooted in strength, growing in hope.
